10 May GRAHAM’S GOGGLE DONATION FROM ALMOST ATHLETES

Thank you to Cheltenham running club Almost Athletes for kindly donating a £500 cheque to support our annual Swim for Safety event this year.

The money has gone towards buying a pair of swimming goggles for each pupil who took part in the event, and are theirs to use and keep – as a gift from Heidi’s Heroes for taking part.

Our Swim for Safety event is a week-long, intensive swimming course and this year more than 160 pupils took part from primary schools across Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

The goggles were provided by Gloucester-based Sofab Sports, a Community Interest Company.

Graham Fletcher, pictured 3rd from right, from Almost Athletes attended the event to hand over the cheque to Paul Wood, Heidi’s Heroes chairman, 2nd left, with charity volunteers Ken and Janet Wood, 1st and 2nd from right.
