28 Sep Day 3 – Woods on Water

Monday Day 3 – it was another early start for our fundraisers after a cold night of rough camping with no showers or toilets. The Heroes left Wallingford at 7.15 am this morning and their target today is to paddle 22 miles through another 7 locks ending at Shiplake Lock for another night of rough camping beside the river. They reached their half way point, Beale Park, a wildlife park and gardens, near Pangbourne in Berkshire, this morning and have paddled under Reading Bridge to make camp tonight at Shiplake Lock. It’s rumoured there was some near skinny dipping taking place which, after three days with now showers, was probably much-needed!
